April Ipsy Bag Review
It’s my favorite blog post each month, Ipsy Bag review time! The five April products I got are valued at $50+. This month's theme is “Keep Growing”. The daisy design is perfect for spring and it's made with recycled fabric! Ipsy message this month is, “Spring is here and just like you the earth has come alive. Take this month to plant big ideas, nourish your skin, and live a little greener because it’s your season to bloom.” How sweet! Let’s open up the bag to see what products are letting beauty blossom this spring.
YC Collection YC Luminous Powder in Honey
This product is said to be the least powdery face powder ever. With a lightweight luminizing formula made with vitamin E and soft-focus micro sparkles to help blur imperfections, hydrate, and smooth skin, and leave a radiant glow without looking cakey or settling into fine lines. It’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free too. I personally used it in areas that have more imperfections and on the cheekbones for a subtle highlight. Overall I really love the consistency of the powder. It will definitely be added to my everyday makeup routine. Nine out of ten.
Aceology Hydro Glow & Deep Hydration Watermelon Eye Mask
These patches are for tired-looking eyes and are said to be fast-acting to help smooth, plump, and brighten your under-eye area. Pop them on for 20 minutes and the vitamin C-rich watermelon extract plus hydrating aloe vera work their magic in a flash. Hands down favorite product in the bag! These eye patches are not your typical slimy, gummy eye patches. They have a cloth on the outside for no mess or sliding down while you are multitasking. They really did work in one use, I put them on for 20 minutes while I cleaned up last night. Went to bed and woke up with brighter and not as tired-looking eyes! Ten out of ten!
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops
This lightweight gel is a multitasker! It’s part face serum and part highlighter. The niacinamide and watermelon extract work together to help fade dark spots and smooth skins texture. While also adding a dose of hyaluronic acid to instantly plump and hydrate your skin. This product smells amazing! You may have seen this product on your for you page on TikTok. It’s a viral sensation. It can be used as a face serum before moisturizer, primer before makeup, or as the last step in the makeup routine for a highlighter. No matter which way you use it will leave your skin with a glowy finish. This product gets a nine out of ten, but I’m excited to keep using it.
Benton Deep Green Tea Toner
This toner is made with green tea from Bosenog in South Korea! It is said to help balance, calm, soothe, and revitalize the skin post cleanser. It will leave skin perfectly prepped for serums, lotions, and creams. I’m not a big fan of toners but this one might make the cut. I was expecting it to have a strong tea smell but it actually doesn’t smell like anything. I’m interested to use it more in my skincare routine. Eight out of ten.
Context Skin Tinted Lip Balm in Back for More
The only lip balm you will need from now on! In one quick swipe, it hydrates, heals, and minimizes chapped lips thanks to conditioning vitamins and plant extracts. Such as vitamins C and E, watermelon, and rose. It provides long-lasting moisture without a sticky or tacky after-effect! The natural shade is perfect for work, weekends, or just an average day at home. I love how smooth it goes on. I have worn it all day and have noticed the difference it makes my lips feel moisturized and not tacky! Ten out of ten.
Overall this month's Glam Bag outdid itself! I definitely will be purchasing full-size products real soon. I can’t wait to see what Ipsy has up there sleeves for the May Glam Bag! Laters babes!
