April Ipsy Bag Review

Image
It’s my favorite blog post each month, Ipsy Bag review time! The five April products I got are valued at $50+. This month's theme is “Keep Growing”. The daisy design is perfect for spring and it's made with recycled fabric! Ipsy message this month is, “Spring is here and just like you the earth has come alive. Take this month to plant big ideas, nourish your skin, and live a little greener because it’s your season to bloom.” How sweet! Let’s open up the bag to see what products are letting beauty blossom this spring.  YC Collection YC Luminous Powder in Honey  This product is said to be the least powdery face powder ever. With a lightweight luminizing formula made with vitamin E and soft-focus micro sparkles to help blur imperfections, hydrate, and smooth skin, and leave a radiant glow without looking cakey or settling into fine lines. It’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free too. I personally used it in areas that have more imperfections and on the cheekbones for a subtle highlight. ...

Shopping for Spring Trends

Image
I feel like Target is one of the main retailers that keep up with trends. Let’s see how many Spring Trend items I found in Target!  Platforms  Whether they are in the form of sandals, sneakers, or boots this spring trend will set you to new heights.  White Monochromatic  Honestly loved this top. I’m really into square necklines right now. Monochromatic of any color with being seen more and more through the spring and summer.  All the Straps & Lime Green   This top was too cute! It came in all neon colors and black. It’s perfect for that spring to summer top.  Knits   I would have never gravitated to this top if I wasn’t looking for knit, but I love it. It could be used through all the seasons too!  Oversize It  This T-Shirt dress is the perfect dress to oversize. Dress it up with some heels or dress it down with a fashion sneaker.  Feminine Vibes  Bows always scream feminine to me and with the bubble sleeves all the feminin...

What's in my Gym Bag?

Image
Today I’m answering the question what is in my gym bag? Let’s find out.  First off my bag is not your typical gym bag as you see. It’s a decorative burlap tote with my initials on the front, which I picked up from a cute boutique back home. It has so much space for all the gym essentials. I can’t go to the gym without it.  Lotus Yoga Mat Hydroflask  Favorite Athletic Sneakers  Hair Tie Bag  Air Pods  Too many resistance bands  Disc Sliders 3 Resistance Band Loops  Do you have a gym bag? Or are you one to just bring water, a phone, and headphones? What are your essentials to go to the gym with? Let me know in the comments below! Laters babes!

Go to Accessories

Image
Happy Friday Babes! Good Friday actually! Accessories can make or break a look, am I right? They are a must for each outfit. Whether it be a necklace, bracelet, scarf, rings, belts, headband, or hair clips. Ladies, we all have the go-to accessories that we put on more than all the others we have collected through the years. Maybe you even swap out accessories seasonally. Whatever way you do, these are mine that I gravitate towards every day.  Necklaces Gold J Initial & Gold Chain - I typically pair these together one as a choker and the other as a medium length. I like how simple they are but still beautiful.  Silver Star Chain - I typically wear this a lot in the summer. I got it from Pura Vida last summer.  Gold Blue Pendant - This blue stone used to be the stone in my dad’s favorite ring. He would wear it all the time. Once he passed my mom gave it to me as a necklace on my first birthday without him. I wear it more than anything in my jewelry collection.  ...

Finding Spring Trends in My Closet

Image
Spring Trends 2022. This year is the season that Jessi did not support certain trends coming back in style aka low rise jeans, mini skirts, and all things the 2000s. Your girl is more of a 90’s baby with a touch of 21’s century and 70/80s style. Hence my bell-bottom jeans obsession. After listing out the spring trends this year I knew I wouldn't find too many in my closet currently. Let’s see which trends I found in my closet!  Flared Jeans  White Monochromatic  All the Feminine Vibes  Oversize It  As you can see I only found four out of seventeen. How many would you find in your closet? Let me know in the comments below! Laters babes!

My Go to Skincare Products

Image
Skincare has always been important to me even though sometimes I forget it even exists. I know like most of you, I have gone through way too many skincare regimens and products before I found products that consistently work. Thank god for the trend of the skincare regime and experts on social media outlets. If it weren't for some of them I would still be using products that ultimately hurt my skin and not help. My skin shifts from season to season but if I had to choose a category, I would fall under combination to oily. Now I know everyone is different. What works for me product-wise could potentially not for another and vice versa. But here are the products that I have found in the last year or so that work excellent for me.  Dove Beauty Bar = Daily Cleanser  Vitamin C Face Scrub by Elizabeth Mott = Exfoliant (used every other day) Clean and Clear Persa-gel 10 = Spot Treatment  Balance Me Pre and Probiotic Radiance Cream = (AM only) First Aid Beauty Hydrating Eye Cream ...

April Habits and Goals

Image
A new month means new goals and habits. For the month of April, I mapped out my goals and habits, with the method I learned through James Clear’s 30 Days to Better Habits Email Course. This month I have taken the templates from the course to map out my own habits which intend to make my goals for the month achievable.  James Clear gives you many different sentences to think about when making goals, which then are used to create atomic habits. These include the formation of a habit, priming your environment, keys to making it a routine, and many more. I took each of my goals for this month and wrote out how the atomic habits will help me reach each one this month.  This is what I will be working for this month.  The goal is to read three books. This goal turns into the goal of becoming a better reader. The habit turns into reading one chapter a day. I will achieve this habit by priming my environment by placing the currently reading book on the gray reading chair in my ro...
