February Ipsy Bag Review
Full Hearts was the theme this month for the regular Ipsy subscription bag. This month's mantra is to swoon over the real and totally unfiltered you. Whether it’s snapping a glam selfie or cozying up with your favorite movie. Here is what was included in the bag and my thoughts on the products!
First off, the bag itself is absolutely adorable! The cut out heart pattern is perfect for the month all about love. Whether that be yourself, a partner, loved ones, or furry friends.
Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling Mascara
Some of the product highlights are water resistant, instant curve setting formula, long wear for 12 hours, separates, curls, and lifts each and every lash. There are rave reviews out on this mascara. 97% of users said it visibly lifts lashes. 87% said it gives long lasting curl all day. And 94% say their eyes look more wide open. Remember to gently wiggle the wand from the base of your lashes to the tip. Apply other coats till your lashes are as long and thick as you want. Hello, my new favorite mascara! Ten out of ten. Those rave reviews were 100% right. I love that it lifts each and every single lash with no clumping. Honestly the way it lifted and lengthened my lashes is comparable to a set of false eyelashes.
Three Ships Dew Drops Mushroom Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin C Serum
Hyaluronic acid is known as the super hydrator in skin care products. This serum helps replenish moisture deep within your skin, while also helping to firm, plump, and majorly bright your skin thanks to the vitamin C rich kakadu plum extract. The product is vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, and safe for those pregnant. Take a few drops and smooth it around a clean base. I just started using this product so I haven't noticed a difference yet but I’ll get back to you in a couple weeks.
HIPDOT Contour Brush
This brush is made with ultra soft and high quality bristles helping to add details to your look with ease and precision. Use it to apply powder, cream, and liquid products to blend and sculpt to your preference. It is also cruelty free and vegan.
Zion Health Orange Blossom Hydrating Lip Balm
I’m always on the hunt for a new lip balm, but I’m also super picky. This lip balm has nourishing plant extracts like hemp seed oil, sunflower seed oil, and olive oil. These extracts all work together to help deeply moisturize and heal dry, chapped lips. It also is USDA certified organic! I love the natural ingredients in this lip balm. The scent is a little too strong but other than that I give it an eight out of ten.
Bellapierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder in Light
Use this setting powder as the last step in your makeup routine to give your foundation and concealer a long wearing, crease proof finish that holds up in humidity, excess oil, and sweat. The setting powder also has a yellow tone to act as a color corrector for dark circles and redness. The real test for any makeup I use is going through a full dance class and not budging. I can tell you this setting powder passed. I specifically used it in areas that I get oily fast. This product gets a ten out of ten from me.
Overall this month's bag gets a nine out of ten from me. I can’t wait to see what the March bag will bring!
