February Ipsy Bag Review

Image
Full Hearts was the theme this month for the regular Ipsy subscription bag. This month's mantra is to swoon over the real and totally unfiltered you. Whether it’s snapping a glam selfie or cozying up with your favorite movie. Here is what was included in the bag and my thoughts on the products!  First off, the bag itself is absolutely adorable! The cut out heart pattern is perfect for the month all about love. Whether that be yourself, a partner, loved ones, or furry friends.   Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling Mascara  Some of the product highlights are water resistant, instant curve setting formula, long wear for 12 hours, separates, curls, and lifts each and every lash. There are rave reviews out on this mascara. 97% of users said it visibly lifts lashes. 87% said it gives long lasting curl all day. And 94% say their eyes look more wide open. Remember to gently wiggle the wand from the base of your lashes to the tip. Apply other coats till your lashes are as l...

$20 Sale Pink Lily Haul and Review

Image
Pink Lily had a $20 Sale a couple weekends ago and I took advantage of those prices. Let’s have a try on haul babes!  Let's Seize The Day Bra Top in Black and Pink  The best bra top I have in my collection now. It’s perfect for working out, lounging around the house, or pairing with your jeans. I wore one to my dance classes this week and it is dancer approved! No shifting or pulling. The sizing is also true to size.  Wishful Heart Turtleneck Bodysuit in White  Perfect for layering in the cold winter months. Wish I got one in black too. Sizing is a tad small, my recommendation is to go up a size. I paired it with the dress I also got in the haul below.  Sparks Fly Mock Neck Ribbed Midi Dress in Black   Trying a new piece out with this choice. As I am getting older my style is transitioning also. This dress is perfect for the office and then transitions for a night out for drinks. The dress is more form fitting and size is true to size. Can’t wait to wear th...

Your Eyes Only Limited Edition Mystery Bag from Ipsy

Image
The Your Eyes Only Limited Edition Mystery Bag is here! This bag was too cute not to get. The pink color and embroidery detailed heart pattern is perfect for Valentine’s Day. I’m going to be honest the only reason I purchased this mystery bag was for the bag itself. The products inside though have my attention.  First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Oil Control Moisturizer  This is my all time favorite skin care moisturizer. I believe I got it in one of my first ever Ipsy bags and fell in love. The reason you will love this product is the hyaluronic acid helps skin appear smoother while the niacinamide helps control sebum production, minimize pores, and reduce shine over time. I love that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily after application. My face feels refreshed after each use too. Ten out of ten for this amazing skin care product.  SUGAR Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick   The product description states that this lipstick is maximum coverage, highly pigmented, smooth a...

ShopHunting for Winter Trends at Target

Image
Who doesn’t love a bit of shop hunting? Shop hunting is where you go shopping but have a specific list of fun items you are trying to find. On this shop hunting experience I went to Target to see how many winter trends I could find in their clothing department. Let’s see how well I did.  Bold Colors  I love a bold red. This top has a cinched waist detail, slightly puffed sleeves, square neckline, and a gold lined pattern. It would be a great look to transfer from day to night.    Shackets I fell in love with this shacket. It’s so soft, the rose pink color, and it has pockets! Run, don't walk to Target to grab your own.  Retro Ski Wear To be honest I’m not a fan of puffer coats but this groovy pattern on this one might just change my mind. This coat is the definition of retro ski wear.  Sweater Dresses This is one of those outfits that look good on the rack but awful on a person. At least for me, this was definitely a no go for me. My perfect sweater dr...

Finding Winter Trends in my Closet

Image
Looking at the winter trends for this year I thought about what I had in my closet and thought there is no way I have these in my closet. Let’s see together how many I actually have in my closet today.  Bold Colors   Bright coral shirt, can’t get any brighter than this. I am not one for bright colors so I toned it down with a simple jean jacket.  Knit Sweater Dresses and Knee High Boots Pulling all these together in one look. Knit is a common staple everyone should have in their closet for winter. I have multiple knit sweaters but I have one sweater dress. I have paired it with some black tights and black knee-high boots that have taken control back from the thigh-high boots of last season.  Lilac, Shackets, and Shearling Also pulling all these together in one look. This lilac tank top pairs well with this light pink shearing shacket. It’s a cozy, cute look perfect for winter.  Not too many winter trends are sitting in my closet. Missing the leather pants, retro...

What is a Career in Sports Administration

Image
The main question you get asked after you graduate high school or even get through those first couple years of college is, “what are your plans for the future?” I absolutely hated answering this question literally once a day for about four years, I’m sure I’m not alone either. Why I didn’t like answering wasn’t because I didn’t know what I wanted my career to be, I knew exactly what I wanted to do as a career. Marketing and Creative Communications of Collegiate Athletics. The look of confusion on family and friends' faces when I said that prompted their next question, “what’s that or what can you do with that?” My answer: A game doesn’t just magically appear and run just because of the coaches or athletes. There is so much work that the typical sports fan has NO IDEA about!  There are many departments when it comes to a breakdown of an athletic office at the collegiate level besides the athletes and the coaching staff. Let me break it down for you.  At the top you have the Ath...
