My Top Study Tips to Finish the Semester Strong

Image
Studying looks different for everyone, and trust me I have tried all the different ways to study throughout my school years. Here is what I have found works best for me in these last couple of years.  Before Class   If the class has a mapped-out syllabus, I read it over the first week of class. I map out when assignments are due when readings need to be done, quizzes, and tests. After I have every class mapped out I then assign different days to focus on studying, including the times. I always try to stay ahead in being prepared for class, like doing the readings and taking notes on that and developing questions that I might have during the class.  During Class I take notes on my laptop during class. I have found that I’m a faster typer than a writer. I try to take down everything the professor says. I don’t worry about the format either. I just type away during the class.  After Class  This is when I take the time and format the notes I took in class. I normall...

March Ipsy Bag Review

Image
Power Moves was the theme this month for the regular Ipsy subscription bag. This month's mantra is you run the world, swipe on your boldest lip, and conquer every goal like a boss. Whether it’s sticking to the self-care routine or kick-starting the next big thing. Here is what was included in the bag and my thoughts on the products! The bag itself is so cute! The baby blue matched with the baby pink is a color match made in heaven. The saying on it “power moves” gives off all the girl boss vibes. It’s definitely going in my work bag, cause your girl is the girl boss and is going to make power moves!  First Aid Beauty Hydrating Eye Cream with Hyaluronic Acid This eye cream is both vegan and cruelty-free. It works 24 hours to help the skin around your eyes feel soft, plump, and hydrated. Key ingredients include a blend of hyaluronic acid for plumping, caffeine for depuffing, cucumber extract, and colloidal oatmeal for soothing. I have got three eye creams through Ipsy, this is the on...

Review of 30 Days to Better Habits Course

Image
Hey babes! It’s that hump day post coming at you live. I’m sure many of you know by now I’m an avid reader and I like to be organized along with having a routine. I’m going to let you in on a secret that changed the way I look at my routine.  I bought the book Atomic Habits after seeing millions of rave reviews. I’m telling you right now it was life-changing! I went through that book in two days, no joke. I wanted to implement all the knowledge and wisdom of James Clear into my everyday routine but I had no clue where to start. Towards the end of the book, there was an advertisement for a 30 Days to Better Habits Email Course through James Clear’s website. It was just the thing I needed to help implement all the knowledge and wisdom from the book into my own life. The course is not an email every 30 days, it’s 11 emails in total, every three days. The course goes along with the book in showing you how to take the guesswork out of habit building, getting the tools and strategies you...

Spring Trends 2022 - Fashion

Image
Happy Monday babes! To start our week off right I’m letting you all in on the top spring trends in fashion and beauty. The main theme I’m seeing for spring is Y2K is back and in full force. Get ready to relive your 2000s fashion dream or nightmare, whichever you prefer. I have also pulled some shopping links for you to shop for each trend. Don’t worry babe I got you!  Low Rise Jeans I shudder at the sound of this trend. No, you can not wear a long top with low-rise jeans that defeats the trend, crop tops all the way to reach that Y2K style. As for me, I will be sticking to my high-waisted jeans, thank you.  Levi's Pro Low Jeans - https://amzn.to/3ifmD29 Kan Can Low Rise Ankle Skinny Jeans - https://amzn.to/3CU9FQD Pleated Skirts There are many different lengths that you could run with this spring trend. Many I’m sure will opt for the tennis skirts but the lengths that were making statements on the runway was the midi pleated skirt.  Kate Kasin Pleated A-Line Swing Skirt -...

5 Transitional Looks for Winter to Spring

Image
It is that time where we slowly start to transition into spring. The mornings are cold and the afternoons are warm. It’s the time where mother nature doesn’t know which season to pick, one day it will be 75 degrees and the next there will be three inches of snow on the ground. Finding outfits for this transitional season can be hard. Here are a few tips to think about when styling and five of my favorite examples for inspiration.  1. Transition into bright and fresh colors or prints  I chose a thin pale yellow sweater and colorful bell bottom jeans for this look. Bell bottom jeans and thin sweaters are perfect for the transitional season.  I don’t know what it is but your girl loves pairing shorts with a long sleeve top during this season. These fun pattern shorts go perfect with this Rolling Stones long sleeve, and combat boots to bring the look all together.  2. Layer Lightly Cardigans are perfect for the transitional season! I paired this oversized knit black card...

All About St. Patrick's Day

What is St. Patrick's Day?  St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17th each year. It is the anniversary of Saint Patrick's death. The holiday is observed as a religious holiday for the Irish for over 1,000 years. Irish families would traditionally attend church services in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon to the evening hours. St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated since the ninth century by the people of Ireland as a Roman Catholic feast day. The first St. Patrick’s Day parade took place not in Ireland but in the Americas. On March 17, 1601 a Spanish colony in what is no known as St. Augustine, Florida paraded and celebrated with organization by the Spanish Colonies Irish vicar Ricardo Artur. It was not till March 1772 homesick Irish soldiers serving in the English military marched in New York City to honor the Irish patron saint. The enthusiasm for St. Patrick's Day parades only grew from there.  Who is Saint Patrick?  He was the patron saint of Ireland and ...
